About the Show
Graphic designer LEANNA “LEA” DUBEL moved to Portland from France to be with an American boyfriend. It was a romantic and very impulsive decision and things didn’t work out with the guy, but Lea likes New York (she’s half American and spent part of her childhood in the States - and she loves American romance novels!) and thought she’d stay and make a life here. But neither career nor romance have taken off, and she’s decided to go back to France. The flights are booked: three weeks away. Her friend Carl, whose apartment she’s been sharing, really likes Lea and wants her to stay. He works for a publishing house and has arranged for her to meet with his boss, Selina. Lea would really love to design book covers, but nobody will give her a break. So she sets off to meet Selina, clutching a portfolio.
