About the Show
Stella dreams of running her family’s restaurant and marrying her long-term boyfriend, but when her life crumbles she seizes the opportunity to become a chef at her friend Rebecca’s new restaurant in London. When the young food critic Theo, visits the restaurant and interviews Stella, her initial response is frosty. But with some persistent and encouraging interest from Theo – she finds herself enjoying a tour of London’s amazing sites and food scene, guided by Theo himself.
As Stella warms to Theo and meets his famous father, Ben, (a top chef,) thoughts of going home start to melt away. Her cooking repertoire is expanding and she enjoys helping Rebecca arrange a big event for Rebecca’s parent’s vow renewal.
Theo too, warms and opens up to Stella about losing his mother and his hopes for the future. But with his job on the line he must deliver an exciting article or risk being fired. He focuses his efforts on Stella and includes elements of her private life she didn’t want published.
Stella is devastated when she reads the article, and Theo reaches her too late to explain. Her world, once again upside down, Stella begins to think that London is not such a good idea after all. Until a heart to heart with Rebecca, who encourages her to accept Theo’s apologies and listen to what he has to say.
With a last ditch attempt to woo her back, Theo arrives at the restaurant with flowers and champagne. Stella agrees to talk and the two take a romantic stroll to the London Eye.
