The documentary presents the research that the National Archaeological Museum shares with the Quironsalud Madrid Hospital, to carry out a state-of-the-art scanner on four mummies preserved in the museum: three Egyptians and one Guanche, to discover their secrets without removing their bandages.
The study began on June 6, 2016, and ended in June 2017 with positive results that unveiled the mystery of the enigmatic "golden mummy" on which the documentary is focused.
The "golden mummy" is the most valuable in the museum and the only one of Spanish heritage, corresponding to an Egyptian priest and doctor named Nespamedu.
The application of advanced technology and forensic science has revealed what the "golden mummy" was hiding under its bandages: jewels and amulets by which it has been possible to determine its identity, profession, social rank, and physique with sculptural reconstruction, of his face.
The documentary includes comments from curators of the archaeological museum and radiologists from the Quironsalud Hospital, as advisers.
The filming was carried out in 4k. The documentary features spectacular images: 3D reconstructions of the Saqqara and Giza necropolises.

El documental presenta la investigación que el museo arqueológico nacional comparte con el Hospital Quironsalud Madrid, para realizar un escáner de última generación a cuatro momias conservadas en el museo: tres egipcias y una guanche, con objeto de conocer sus secretos sin quitar sus vendajes.
El estudio comenzó el 6 de junio de 2016 y terminó en junio de 2017 con resultados positivos que desvelaron el misterio de la enigmática "momia dorada", en cuyo estudio se centra el documental.
La "momia dorada" es la más valiosa del museo y única del patrimonio español, correspondiente a un sacerdote y médico egipcio llamado Nespamedu.
La aplicación de una avanzada tecnología y ciencia forense, ha desvelado lo que la ""momia dorada"" ocultaba bajo sus vendajes: joyas y amuletos por los que se ha podido determinar su identidad, profesión, rango social y su físico con la reconstrucción escultórica de su rostro.
El documental incluye comentarios de conservadores del museo arqueológico y radiólogos del Hospital Quironsalud, como asesores.
El rodaje se ha llevado a cabo en 4k. El documental cuenta con imágenes espectaculares: reconstrucciones en 3D de las necrópolis de Saqqara y de Guiza.
